First Announcement & Call for Papers

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 10^th IFToMM International Symposium on Science of Mechanisms and Machines - SYROM’2009, organized by the Romanian Association for the Science of Mechanisms and Machines (ARoTMM), in the Transilvania University of Braşov, Romania, during 12-15 October 2009.

The SYROM’2009 is part of the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM) conferences agenda.

SYMPOSIUM TOPICS

The general thematic of the symposium follows the mechanisms conception, modeling, analysis, synthesis, and command & control in advanced product design, focusing on but not restricted at the MultiBody System (MBS) approach, applied to:

1. Conceptual design (linkages, gears, cams, complex mechanisms)

2. Kinematic and dynamic analysis

3. Modeling and simulation

4. Command & control

5. Synthesis and optimization

6. Current trends education

7. Applications in high-tech products

The symposium proceedings will be published in SpringerLink. The official symposium language is English.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

You are kindly invited to submit a 200-300 words abstract, respecting the attached template. The document should be edited using Word 2003 or less, either on-line, in the application form page, or by e-mail, arotmm@unitbv.ro.
